Our Mission

Our mission

Our mission is to successfully raise the bar of cannabis hemp legalization in California and in the rest of the states in the republic. This mission is driven by the fundamental need to actualize Jack Herer’s legacy initiative by qualifying it onto the ballot and getting it passed by and for the people of California on the General Election, Tuesday, November 3, 2020. The Cannabis Hemp Heritage Act 2020 provides a template of cannabis hemp liberation for the people of California, other states, and the world.

Current goal

Our current goal is to qualify the Cannabis Hemp Heritage Act 2020, get it passed, and set a new international standard of cannabis legalization.

The objectives

We have two main objectives to achieve our goal:

1. To raise money for professional signature gathering which begins October 26, 2019. This will guarantee the Cannabis Hemp Heritage Act 2020 gets on the ballot by April 20, 2020. Volunteers may help by registering California voters and circulating petitions to collect signatures.

2. Once the CHHA2020 is on the ballot, solicit votes from valid CA registered voters only, and continue to register CA voters for General Election, Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Who are we?

We are the California Cannabis Hemp Heritage Act 2020 a people's campaign to get Jack Herer's legacy initiative on the ballot for the General Election Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

What are we doing?

Also known as The Jack Herer Initiative, the Cannabis Hemp Heritage Act was developed in the 1980's by legendary cannabis hemp activist Jack Herer. This Act will stand as the nation's most profound statement of guaranteed rights for cannabis consumers and reasonable access to the cannabis market.

When did we start?

We filed with the California Attorney General on August 19, 2019. We begin circulating petitions to collect signatures from valid CA registered voters in late October 2019. We have 180 days to collect 623,212 signatures. Signature gathering begins October 24, 2019 to April 20, 2020.

Why are we doing it?

The Cannabis Hemp Heritage Act 2020 repeals the most restrictive, harmful, and heinous aspects of the Control, Regulate, and Tax the Adult Use of Marijuana Act (AUMA), proposition 64, which passed in November 2016.

How can you help?

Become a volunteer and/or donate today to help the campaign pay for professional signature gatherers to qualify the CHHA2020 by April 20, 2020.
